Toshiba TLP-S10U LCD projector review
The Toshiba TLP-S10U is a low cost LCD projector represents good value for presentations but really does slip behind the competition when it comes to image quality in DVD movies. If you need a solid reliable LCD projector and aren't planning on using it for home theatre then the Toshiba TLP-S10U is worth a look.

Toshiba TLP-S10U LCD projector
Low price but performance suited mostly to business use
LCD projectors are getting cheaper and better every day. Although this Toshiba sits in the sub $1000 category it's performance is far from shabby. Unfortunately there are better projectors for home entertainment use but the Toshiba TLP-S10U is not without some merits.
Toshiba TLP-S10U inexpensive business LCD projector
If you're looking for solid LCD projector for presentations then the Toshiba TLP-S10U will fit your needs quite nicely. It's inexpensive to buy and when run on eco mode offers up to 3000 hours bulb life.
All in all the performance was good but there were some problems with color accuracy in DVD movies and there was more pixelation and aliasing (jaggy lines) when compared to the Dell 2200MP a DLP based design and price competitor.
The Toshiba can handle HDTV resolutions from 480p up through 1080i. However the native 800x600 pixel resolution means that it is using a down-scaler to achieve the display of 720i/P and 1080i/P. If you play PC computer games the native SVGA input will be appealing when you compare quality from your 3D cards TV out port on a normal TV set. Although you can only run 800 by 600 you'll be able to crank up anti aliasing and detail effects instead to get acceptable graphics quality.
With a bulb life close to 3000 hours (in eco mode) you should get 2 or more years out of a bulb for home use. The Toshiba TLP-S10U also has cheap (relatively speaking) replacement bulbs at under $250.
The Toshiba TLP-S10U offers resizing which is handy for permanent installations. Resizing is useful when you want to park the projector at some distance from a wall, but want to reduce the projected image's size.
One criticism of the Toshiba TLP-S10U is the lack of any cables. You only get a power cable included with the projector and so you'll have to buy all the cables you need.
Here are the specifications:

Toshiba TLP-S10U LCD projector low price but not for home theatre
The only reason I wouldn't recommend this LCD projector for watching movies is that for the same money there are better options out there such as the Dell 2200MP.
However for business use the Toshiba TLP-S10U does have some things going for it. The resizing and digital keystoning plus inexpensive bulb costs make this an attractive buy for heavy duty business use. If your planning on watching movies and laying games then I would look elsewhere.
